------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Terms of Service service: code.hardlight.space (Last Updated: August 01, 2026) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [This document is valid unless another terms of service document set after the date above is ever published, with or without possession of that document, this one will be superseded by that document.] 1. Service Provided As-Is This service is provided as-is, without any warranty, guarantee of availability, functionality, or fitness for any particular purpose. We make no commitments regarding uptime, performance, or continuity of service. 2. Community-Contributed Code This is a community-driven project. Code contributions may originate from unvetted third-party sources. While we make reasonable efforts to inspect and filter submitted code, we make no guarantee of its safety, security, or integrity. By using this service, you acknowledge and accept this risk. 3. Limitation of Liability By accessing or using this service, you waive all rights to hold us legally liable for any damages, losses, data exposure, security incidents, or service failures - including but not limited to those arising from the conditions described above or below. Use of this service constitutes your agreement to this waiver. 4. Privacy Is Your Responsibility We require all users to treat the protection of their own privacy as a primary obligation. Do not submit personal, identifying, or traceable information to this service unless you fully understand and accept the risks of doing so. 5. Email Address Policy We strongly require - to the point of a binding condition of use - that all users register with a non-personal, non-identifiable email address. This means a fake, disposable, proxied, or otherwise non-traceable address with no connection to your real identity. This is not a recommendation; it is an expectation of continued access. 6. Email Risk Waiver Email addresses attached to accounts serve no functional purpose on this service. If you choose to add a real or identifiable email address to your account, you do so entirely at your own risk. You permanently and irrevocably waive any right to hold us liable for the exposure, breach, or compromise of that address. 7. Two-Factor Authentication Two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory on all accounts without exception. Accounts without 2FA enabled may be suspended or restricted without notice. 8. Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless this service and its operators, contributors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses - including reasonable legal fees - arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, your submission of code or content, or any harm caused to a third party as a result of your actions on or through this platform. 9. No Class Actions All disputes must be brought solely in your individual capacity. You waive any right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against this service or its operators. No dispute may be consolidated with that of any other user without our express written consent. 10. Binding Arbitration Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of this service shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration. You waive your right to a jury trial or court proceeding. Arbitration shall be conducted under the rules of a mutually agreed-upon arbitration body, or if no agreement is reached, under the rules of a recognized arbitration institution in the jurisdiction specified in Section 11. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. 11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any proceedings not subject to arbitration under Section 10 shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in The United States of America. By using this service, you irrevocably consent to this jurisdiction. 12. Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect without modification. 13. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct By using this service, you agree not to: Use the service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose Submit code, content, or data designed to damage, exploit, surveil, or compromise any system or individual Attempt to reverse-engineer, compromise, or interfere with the integrity or security of the platform Impersonate another user, entity, or operator of this service Use the service in any way that could expose other users to harm or liability Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice or liability to you and may include communications to law enforcement for unlawful activity if it occurs. 14. Right to Suspend or Terminate We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account or access to this service at any time, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice and without liability of any kind. This includes but is not limited to violations of these Terms, suspected abuse, or risk to the integrity or safety of the platform or its users. 15. Code & Content Contributions By submitting code, content, or any materials to this service, you represent that you have the legal right to submit such material and that it does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. We assume no ownership of your contributions and accept no liability for their content or consequences. Where a contribution carries an explicitly declared license - including but not limited to open-source licenses such as AGPL, GPL, MIT, or Apache - that license governs the use, modification, and distribution of that material in full, and its terms take precedence over any conflicting provisions in these Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with the conditions of all declared licenses applicable to accepted contributions. For contributions submitted without an explicitly declared license, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that material as part of this service. 16. DMCA & Copyright We respect intellectual property rights and expect users and contributors to do the same. If you believe any content or code on this platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to the staff including identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, and your contact information. We will respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law. Repeat infringers may be permanently removed from the platform. 17. Age Requirement You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service. By accessing or using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the required age, you must cease use immediately. We are not liable for misrepresentation of age by any user. 18. No Warranty on Third-Party Dependencies This service may rely on third-party libraries, tools, infrastructure, or services. We make no warranty, representation, or guarantee regarding the security, availability, or integrity of any third-party component. You expressly waive any right to hold us liable for failures, vulnerabilities, or damages originating from third-party dependencies. 19. Force Majeure We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in service resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to infrastructure outages, third-party service failures, natural disasters, cyberattacks, government actions, or any other event outside our direct control. 20. No Relationship Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, agency, or fiduciary duty between you and this service or its operators. You are an independent user accessing the service solely under the terms defined here. 21. Right to Modify These Terms We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms at any time. The updated date at the top of this document will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. 22. Explicit Acceptance By creating an account or continuing to use this service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use immediately.
